Easter Biscuits

A huge thank you to Caden's Mum, sister, Nana and family friend who came to help us on Thursday ice and decorate our Easter Egg shaped biscuits.

 

 

 

 
 
 
 

2 Handed Strike Skills

This afternoon Sally from Sports Hawkes Bay met us on the Turf to show us some new skills.

These were the skills she taught us:

*How to stand
*How to hold the bat
*How to look at the ball
*How to swing our bat

Before we practised our new batting skills we warmed up with a game of Hospital Tag

Then we were organised into groups to learn our new skills:

   

Meeting up with our Buddy Class for the first time this year.

This year our Buddy Class is Room 5.  They are a Year 5 class.  Mrs Burns is their teacher. 


On Friday we met up for the first time.....and because we are both learning about Position and Orientation we decided to do some maths together.

Our lovely buddies organised a Treasure Hunt for us.....in small groups we followed the directions to find a hidden Pinky Bar.



This was the map of the school our Buddy Class used to map out their treasure hunt.

Once we had found our Pinky Bars our big Buddy helped us to plot on a map of our school grounds where we might hide an imaginary treasure.  Our buddy then helped us to record our instructions.

Room 8....have been working hard to use the following positional language:

to the left of
to the right of
in the centre ....or the middle
top corner
bottom corner
beside/behind/below/above/next to/close to
