What does double mean?

"Double means 2 groups of the same.....like 6+6 and 8+8"

We doubled our groups and kept on doubling them.

2+2=4

4+4=8

8+8=16

16+16=32

32+32=64

64+64=128......That's as far as we went!

Procedural Writing

Today we were learning how to write instructions for making toast.

We learnt to record the steps in order and to always start each sentence

With a BOSSY VERB...like 1.  Pop bread in toaster.  2.  Push lever down. 3. Lift toast out. etc

Emma ..the Clever Writer

The swishing, white, noisy water is talking when I walk along.  The little waterfalls make a splashing, annoying sound when I jump around in it.  The water is freezing wet and cold when I put my little feet into it.  The water has yucky green bits and it's all slimy too!
