Wormery

We have been making mini wormeries out of old juice bottles.  We got the idea from a Junior Journal we had been reading in class.  We still have a few to make.  Check out some of our photos from last Friday ...not everyone enjoyed swapping the worms from our big wormery to their mini ones!

Easter

Before Easter we did some Easter crafts! We made Easter bunny boxes for all our yummy eggs, delicious cupcakes and pop up easter cards.

Our Cupcake Recipe

Ingredients

125g butter

3/4 cup sugar

3 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1½ cups self-raising flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/3 cup milk

 Instructions-

Ø Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Ø Cut your butter needed from the block, cut it into smaller cubes and soften it on low in the microwave.
Ø Measure the sugar and add it to the bowl
Ø Using your beater, beat butter and sugar until pale and creamy.
Ø Crack the eggs each into a bowl
Ø Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Ø Measure vanilla and mix in
Ø Measure flour and baking powder and sift into bowl
Ø Using a spatula fold through sifted flour and baking powder.
Ø Measure the milk and gently mix in.
Ø Place spoonfuls of mixture into regular cupcake cases
Ø Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden and firm to the touch.
Ø Allow to cool.
